Daddy fix it

A day full of bloggable moments - in other words, I feel so blessed by God to have this sweet family. My friend, Debi, gave me the nicest of compliments. She said that reading my blog updates is like reading the next chapter in a great book. Wow! That made my day.

This chapter involves a little boy who thinks his daddy can fix anything. We drive along and see various things on the road and Jon David proclaims, "Daddy fix it." To him, Daddy is the biggest, smartest, best fixer-uper EVER. Oh, well, I concur with his assessment. Daddy is ALL that.

For some reason, the trees in our backyard are in need of fixing. As if I don't ask enough Honey Do's (I prefer to call them "Baby Please's"), now my son is in on it!

I was just thanking God for how today turned out. I was semi-annoyed that Jon's nap was not as long as I wanted it to be (so that mine could continue!). But, by getting up a little early, I was able to play in the yard with just my big boy and we had the best time. I love how God provides these opportunities and when I am smart and have the right perspective, I see how He blesses me all day.

Our next big modeling gig - Jockey!

No, they have not called but I'm pretty sure Jockey will want to sign a mega-contract with my boys. Both boys were 4 months old in the pictures. Aren't they cute?? I can't wait to scrapbook these pictures!

Happy New Year, Baby Si

Yesterday I provided the pictures of my monkeys, here's the footage. I especially like baby Si's sweet expressions and his big brother giving him a special New Year's wish. Jon David tries to tell me that either he or Josiah is crying but that is clearly not the case. I think that is because I sometimes ask him what babies do and he responds that they cry.

Monkeys

Don't you have to be at least a teenager with pimples to have an expression like Jon David is giving me? Believe it or not, he had a great day and was in a (mostly) good mood.

First, a big thanks to Janice for my new header! How fun!!

I get such a kick out of seeing my two boys together. Josiah is starting to watch his big brother a lot and it is clear that he thinks Jon David is one cool dude. Here are my monkeys this morning.

Something tells me that Josiah was just about to get bonked in the back of the head here. I think he's going to be the bigger of the two boys so big brother had better watch out!

My sister had her blog on her fancy Mac and has since moved to Blogger which is much easier for most folks to see. Please check by her out and see this OH SO funny knife video. You won't be disappointed. http://myawesomeoliveshoots.blogspot.com/

Scrappin'

I get spoiled when my husband is home for too many days. I really like him being around. One, he is a great help with the kids and two, he's my best friend. So, after having him around a bunch for the past week, I prepare for him to head to the office tomorrow. Sometimes the end of a holiday can be kind of a let down.

One thing I did today which was NOT a bummer was get my "scrap" on. I used my oh-so-amazing Cricut machine and worked on the page for Jon David's 1st year of life album. The title is from my new toy. I'm trying so hard to finish his first year. I plan to skip his second year and just get to work on this current year and start baby Si's book. That way I will not feel perpetually behind.

I hope everyone had a great New Year's day and here's to 2008!!

Auld Lang Syne

This will be quick because I have a cute husband who needs a kiss at midnight.

I'm closing the December challenge with one last picture of Josiah in his Santa outfit. I just thought that was the cutest thing ever.

2007 - what a year! I remain in awe of our good Lord and all that He does. The biggest blessing this year was, of course, baby Josiah. What a little love he is! Next, babyGap - still amazes us. Our new home. It's just more than I could have ever dreamed. God is good ALL the time even in years that are not as exciting as 2007. It reminds me of my husband and my special verse from Ephesians 3:20 - 21:

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

The (almost) end of the road

No, I'm not giving up blogging and no this is not a Christmas carol. It's an old 90s song from Boyz II Men if you don't recognize it. I'm tired. My house is half Christmas, half normal. I desperately want to reclaim a few rooms in our house which have been the safe zones for chaos while the others are more welcoming. So, I need to bust through my un-decorating and get to work. Can anyone out there relate??

(TiVo alert- Jessica Seinfeld will be on Live with Regis & Kelly tomorrow, 12/31.)

NOTE - see my "major award" from Jamie who passed along this blog-a-day challenge. LOVE it!!!
